AgroEcology Institute
Industrial institutions cannot correct what they are structured to produce. AEI runs the research, education, and stewardship for what replaces them.
A 501(c)(3) with four programs: systems research, education, land stewardship, and seed conservation. Methods and plant varieties published openly so anyone can use them.
The goal is a life people recognize as an upgrade. Each person who gets free makes it easier for the next. Help untie the next person.
Programs
-
01
Systems Research
Energy-economy coupling, rent theory, ecological design, and commons governance. All researched as one system because they fail as one system.
-
02
Education
Permaculture as integrated design. Energy literacy. Why current systems fail and what comes after.
-
03
Land Stewardship
Swales, food forests, rotational grazing, and soil building. Designed and documented as one integrated system. Methods and outcomes published in full.
-
04
Germplasm Conservation
Regionally adapted, low-input varieties grown in working ecological systems. Distributed free with integration notes. Preservation through use.

This site's footprint
This page is about 6 kilobytes. The average webpage in 2025 is about 2,600. You could load this page over 400 times on the data one average page uses.
Every byte travels through cables and servers running on electricity. The world's data centers already use about 1% of global electricity. Page weight is a design choice.
